Wilkinson-Latham, Christopher & Robert: Cavalry Uniforms including other Mounted Troops of Britain and the Commonwealth. First Edition/First Printing.« back
This is a first edition and first printing of Cavalry Uniforms of Britain and the Commonwealth by Robert and Christopher Wilkinson-Latham, published by Blandford Press in 1969.
The book and protected dust jacket are in Fine condition with no inscriptions and not price clipped.
The book illustrates in 96 pages of magnificent colour the uniforms of some of the famous cavalry regiments and other mounted troops of Britain and the Commonwealth. An added point of interest is that every illustration includes the 'mount'; there are 92 horses, three camels, and even one tank, to round off the story and serve as a link with the more recent but equally spectacular role of the mechanised cavalry during and since the Second World War.
